Jewish Wedding Blessing

This Jewish wedding blessing may be pronounced  by a rabbi or another Jewish wedding officiant at the very end of the ceremony as the final blessing for the couple.  The blessing is appropriate not only for exclusively Jewish couples but also for interfaith wedding ceremonies such as a Jewish Catholic or Jewish Christian ceremony.  This particular Jewish wedding blessing is composed of three parts.  It is a "triple" blessing which symbolically indicates the intensity of God's favor.

The Rabbi says:

1. May the Lord bless you and keep you.

2. May the Lord cause his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you.

3. May the Lord look upon you with favor and grant you the greatest of all his favors:

true spiritual peace in a world of peace.
